Zory's Empanadas

My name is Zoraida Santana, I'm the sole proprietor of "Zory's Empanadas LLC".   I started "Zory's Empandas" in 2018.   I bought this food trailer for my business and unfortunately it was damaged in transit.   My business never got off the ground after that as I had exhausted ALL funds in tow, mechanics and storage.  Sadly, this is where I sit now.   Once again, I'm attempting to realize my dream/business by reaching out to you for  your possible funding and help.  I'm looking to raise 50k for start up cost, working capital, food trailer repair and paying for at least, 2 employees. 

So about my business..  Zory’s Empanadas is a fast service food truck offering uniquely derived, Authentic cuisine and flavors of the Dominican Republic.  I am situated to accommodate a daily lunch community customer base, private parties, and events.  Today, specializing on authentic foods from different areas of the world is what is driving the food truck popularity and growth. So, with my cuisine having its roots in the Dominican Republic; creativity, competitive pricing with consistent quality of my empanadas, I look to capitalize on an underserved geographical area. While also being THE ONE AND ONLY Dominican empanada food truck in this city(Schenectady/Albany), I innately expect to take a strong place in the market. 

Zory’s Empanadas is unique in offering a wonderful assortment of flavors from the Dominican Republic and Caribbean specialty empanadas each day.  My recipes have been handed down for several generations, so my cultural tastes will be authentic.  My customer base will enjoy an ever-evolving menu with great variety while remaining consistent. The business will draw from people of all ages and will offer unique homemade and handmade empanadas.   I am dedicated to finding the best quality food the industry has to offer.  The freshest of products that are sustained, Certified Humane and purchased locally from “US Foods”, “Nino’s Equipment and Concessions”, Restaurant Depot and the fresh market for my seasonal produce/farm fresh eggs. 
I poses a Certification of “Food Safety Manager” from the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals.  Eight years of experience in the catering business. Along with 2 years’ experience working a food truck and a great comradery with a mutual respect of my food truck community.  I expect that our fast pace, constant quality, and professionalism in serving our customers and our growing reputation in conjunction with establishing this culinary concept, I as the owner bring to the table, will to lead to many new customers.

I am looking to gain consumer trust by providing the highest quality food at a reasonable price.  I will accomplish my goals by being a hands-on owner supervised food service facility and will maintain my competitive advantage in the marketplace through continual training for me and my employees, commitment, teamwork, consistency of product quality and professional customer service along with continuing ALL the COVID19 practices and guidelines-sanitizing after customers in commonly utilized areas as well as providing hand sanitizer for my customer use, and the whole mobile kitchen.  Mask and gloves will be always worn and changed frequently and intermittingly throughout service.

Along with running a successful business, One goal that is  VERY IMPORTANT to me would be the community that I do business and live in(Capital Region).  The need of giving back is necessary and important for myself on a personal note and through my business.  My plan and goal is to partner with The Schenectady/Albany School Districts with “Empanadas for Education”.  Something I plan and am excited to roll out once my business is well off the ground.

Inviting authentic Dominican culture, cuisine and diversity to any event will spark intrigue and a sense of festivity that will get people excited and talking about their experience at “Zory’s Empanadas” food truck that will support our anticipated growth.
