As a component of KLK Research Group, LLC, Parent Pal bridges research, policy, and practice by translating evidence-based strategies into accessible, actionable support for families. Our model combines professional expertise with relatable, peer-informed guidance through trained “Parent Pals” who work directly with caregivers.

Team and Credentials
Parent Pal's Managing Director is Dorothy E. Coleman, B.S.,  CADC Candidate. Ms. Coleman brings over 30 years of experience in behavioral health, family services, and community-based program leadership, including extensive work in mental health, substance use recovery, and case management. She has led and managed programs across diverse settings, including community-based organizations, residential treatment programs, schools, and juvenile justice environments. Her expertise includes program and grant management, staff supervision, compliance and quality assurance, and training and technical assistance. 

As Managing Director, Ms. Coleman oversees Parent Pal’s day-to-day operations and service delivery, ensuring that coaching and support services are grounded in evidence-based practices while remaining practical and responsive to the needs of families. She leads a multidisciplinary team of social workers, counselors, and case managers, and ensures program fidelity, ethical standards, and continuous quality improvement.

Parent Pal is further supported by the research and evaluation expertise of KLK Research Group, ensuring that services are informed by evidence and aligned with best practices in family support, behavioral health, and youth development.
