Synfera

Synfera is an early-stage biotechnology startup rethinking oxygen delivery through scalable, recombinant protein production to address the global blood shortage. We have developed a proprietary production pathway to out-iterate our competitors in the race for a blood substitute with no immunogenic effects. Our feasibility-first approach will allow us to access markets our competitors cannot, and has secured several pitch awards to date, the most notable being the health care startup winner and first overall runner-up at the Paris 2025 iGEM Startup Showcase; the largest global synbio competion.
