Guardian Alliance Technologies is a SaaS company providing Pre-Employment Background Investigation Management Software to the public safety market. This critical technology is badly needed in order to enable law enforcement agencies to do a better job at keeping bad apples out of the profession. We have been in the market for 3 years, have over 400 agencies using our software platform, which is 4x more than our nearest competitor (of which there are only 3), making us the undisputed market leader, we are in revenue but not yet profitable.
In 2016, Justin Biedinger, a Navy veteran and former officer at the Stockton CA police department, founded Guardian Alliance Technologies, Inc. and began developing a cloud-based computer software system specifically designed for use in conducting public safety background investigations. Thanks to input and collaboration with background investigation professionals with more than 200 years of combined experience, the software has undergone consistent development/improvement since launching in 2018.
The Guardian Platform is currently in use by over 400 public safety agencies and over 4,000 law enforcement professionals across the United States who have collectively processed more than 40,000 applicants through the Guardian Platform. Use of the Guardian Platform enables agencies to complete background investigations far faster, and with more accuracy than ever before thanks to advanced data mining and management tools, time-saving automation for certain tasks, valuable database integration of decertified officers and applicant submissions as well as artificial intelligence used for social media screening. All of this facilitates more expedient, high quality hiring decisions.
Guardian is and always has been hosted on AWS GovCloud and as part of our ongoing innovation and quality control efforts, Guardian has completed the AWS Partner Transformation Program, undergone a Well-Architected Review (WAR) and a Foundational Technical Review (FTR) with AWS Solution Architects to ensure that data entered or uploaded to the Platform is secure at all times and allows all of our agency customers to use the Guardian Platform in compliance with the FBI CJIS Security Policy. Guardian is an approved Independent Software Vendor (ISV) within the AWS Partner Network (APN) and has achieved Select Technology Partner, Public Sector Partner, and Reviewed By AWS Status.
Guardian is dedicated to protecting the integrity of the law enforcement profession and improving the safety of communities nationwide by providing innovative solutions aimed at improving the process of vetting and hiring law enforcement professionals. We believe that bad apples can be kept from entering (or re-entering) the law enforcement profession on a national basis, and the best applicants can be identified more efficiently through the leveraging of the most advanced available tools technology can offer and are committed to making such tools available to all Guardian customers.
We generated $569,000 in revenue in 2021 and are part of all of the major decision making bodies, nationally, that are involved in setting standards for public safety background investigations. We'll be launching a co marketing effort in Q1 of 2022 with a partner who has recruitment, hiring, testing, can compliance software at 11,000 of the roughly 18,000 law enforcement agencies in the country. Additionally, Guardian's platform will be integrated with this software suite, providing the agencies with a true recruitment to retirement solution. We believe 2022 will be a breakout year for Guardian and are excited to complete this round of funding and onboard the additional resources we need to drive and manage this growth.
