We are Tidy Dog Pet Salon, a 14 year old , Veteran owned, full service dog grooming salon with an extremely loyal customer base in excess of 2,000 "clients". We have become one of the premier dog grooming salons in Middle Tennessee, located just outside of East Nashville, in one of the fastest growing regions in the United States. Most of our new customers are moving into the area and find us through our Google page by searching for "dog groomers near me" and reading through our numerous "5 Star" ratings.

Following a 17 year in the military, serving with the 101st Airborne, our founder and owner Steven Dixon received an honorable discharge as a fully disabled, combat wounded veteran. As a result of his lifelong love of dogs and as a significant form of therapy, he and his wife Kelly decided to go into dog grooming. Steven attended the Nash Academy of Animal Arts and they then purchased a small dog grooming salon, renamed it Tidy Dog Pet Supply and Salon, and went into business. The same superior standards taught at Nash Academy were applied to their grooming business which is one of the primary reasons for our success. For Tidy Dog, the well being of the dog comes first, at times even over the wishes of the owner if it would be to the detriment of the dog. Each dog is literally treated as though it was a part of our Tidy Dog family.

The onset of Covid was devastating to Tidy Dog, as the entire staff of 7 people was lost in April, 2020  with only Steven and Kelly willing to continue working, even though dog grooming was identified as a critical business. Rebuilding the grooming staff was a slow process as the incentives for people not to work and the lingering fears of Covid made it a real challenge. We again lost our complete staff in May, 2021. Of course the rent and utilities had to be paid, as well as all the other fixed expenses of the business, and PPP and SBA EIDL loans allowed the business to survive. The decision was made out of necessity to train our own grooming staff but we still lost our entire grooming staff twice more before starting to bring on our current staff in the Spring of 2022. To add to the challenges, Steven and Kelly lost their home to a fire in January of 2022. Our loyal base of more than 2,000 customers was amazing with their financial, material, and prayer warrior support.  Qualified, competent groomers capable of living up to the Tidy Dog standards do not happen overnight and we are just now getting to the point where our production is capable of generating significant profits. Unfortunately, we've had to depend on outside capital to continue in operation and our debt load has become significant.

Our business is profitable but our short term loan payments are a real burden on our cash flow. Refinancing into longer term financing will free up significant cash and raising additional capital will allow us to add the equipment and facilities needed to continue to train and increase our staff.
