My Father’s Music looks at the dreams we all have, and the “music” we each carry inside, music that’s tied into the dreams we have for the life we each desire, and that it’s the pursuit of our dreams where we find meaning. The screenplay elegantly and effortlessly weaves profound, moving themes of family, of LIGHT overcoming the DARK, finding and being true to yourself, the power of hope and faith in the face of life’s trials and tribulations, and achieving genuine, lasting personal and professional fulfillment. Within this story, these themes are made manifest across time, space, generations and taps into many of the most essential meanings of what it means to be human and living to one’s fullest potential. Our team firmly believes that these ideas told in this specific way will resonate powerfully with each filmgoer…regardless of age, race, gender, creed, or belief.
The Pitch Deck in particular highlights our highly talented team of successful film industry professionals. Chicago-based Carl Amari, also a co-producer, has been deeply involved within the film industry for over thirty years. Amari has well-established professional relationships with over 100 “A-List” actors, including Academy Award winners, and will attach the acting talent desired for the key roles. Amari also has long-standing business relationships with MGM and Warner Brothers assuring the national and international film distribution channels we desire.
LA-based Sean McNamara is slated to direct My Father’s Music. McNamara has directed ACADEMY AWARD WINNER Helen Hunt in several films, including the highly successful, inspirational films Soul Surfer and Miracle. He has directed other well-known actors including Dennis Quaid, Jon Voight, Pierce Brosnan, William Hurt, and many others during his thirty-year filmmaking career. His most recent film is the thirty-million-dollar film Reagan, starring Dennis Quaid and Jon Voight.
Nashville-based Howard Klausner is also a key member of our film production team. A thirty-five-year film industry professional, Klausner launched his film industry career with the 130 million dollar blockbuster film success, Space Cowboys, starring Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, and Donald Sutherland. Klausner’s forte is screenwriting, bringing the “story” to the screen. Klausner also played a key role, along with McNamara, in the production of Reagan.
In addition to Carl Amari, Cleveland Ohio-based Ryan Koppelman and Eric Schaffert are also attached co-producers. Koppelman’s extensive experience includes directing and producing on a multitude of projects ranging from feature films and commercial work to short films and documentary work. Schaffert is the author of Blind Faith Blind Ambition, and he has also written the screenplay to My Father's Music.
Rounding out our team is Charles David Denler and Dana Cunningham. Denler is a three-time EMMY AWARD WINNING composer who’s agreed to compose the film score for MFM. And pianist and recording artist Dana Cunningham has agreed to contribute her music from the Color of Light, produced in collaboration with GRAMMY AWARD WINNER William Ackerman, to be used as part of the soundtrack for MFM.
This film will be shot in several locations including Cleveland and Youngstown, Ohio, New York City, Lake Rousseau, Canada, Palm Beach, Florida, and Nevis in the Caribbean.
North Star Productions LLC intends on using the Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit. This will secure 30% of MFM's total budget the following year. We have a team in place who has professionally and efficiently gotten tax credits as refundable and transferable dollars back into the investor's pocket.
