A Wild Sort

The foundation of A Wild Sort is an artistic practice encompassing poetry, essays, video shorts, and performance. Through projects like the upcoming book Free to Move and the terminal-based publishing system mkdirbook, the company explores the symbolic magic of organizing our lives and experiences—binding compressed, often painful realities into meaningful, beautiful order.

A Wild Sort is exploring a new paradigm for multi-agent coordination called "permutual intelligence." Traditional platforms treat users as isolated nodes, which fails in high-friction environments. We model networks as dynamic systems, using novel transformer architectures to route resources based on emergent relational history rather than flat individual ratings. We are proving this architecture by deploying an SMS-based mutual aid network for emergency water distribution—a system that organically learns who works well together and where resources naturally pool, without explicit top-down modeling.
