Raising Seed to make carbon negative chemicals for agriculture

We make carbon negative chemicals for agriculture.

We have a proprietary reactor technology that allows us to make chemicals from sawdust with biochar as a co-product. The efficiency of our reactor technology and the simplicity of our chemical process leads to healthy margins - 22% at the pilot scale and over 40% at full scale. We have trial customers in agrochemical distribution and white label manufacturing, as well as contacts in large companies such as Bayer for when we scale.

Our beach head market is agricultural adjuvants, which is a 3.7 billion dollar market., however we are looking to expand into ammonia by 2026, which is a 76 billion dollar market that is likely to expand rapidly due to adoption of ammonia as a clean fuel source. We are a B2B company which will sell chemicals wholesale to manufacturers, with the option to license the technology for additional revenue growth. Our first product is a surfactant, which can be sold at a 10% discount against established petroleum derived surfactants. We offer carbon credits from the biochar we produce as well.

We are a team of seasoned climate entrepreneurs with industry experience at Dow Corning, GE, and NASA. Khepra is partnered with 4 Universities in the development of its technology - University of Calgary, Montreal Polytechnique, Texas Tech, and ICT Mumbai. The founder, Julie Kring, is a second generation founder and biochemist with a specialty in biomaterials. Our CTO, Michael Kadonoff is a serial founder with experience taking hardware to market. Our CFO, Tim Krebs, is experienced in working with green ammonia start up companies and an active angel investor. Our CBO, William Hitters, spent 15 years in Oil and Gas and is experienced in establishing green chemical companies.
