About Zigg Capital
Zigg Capital is a venture capital firm focused on accelerating the combination of real property and technology, aiming to improve the world's quality of life, work, and communities. Founded in 2018 by Dave Eisenberg and Ryan Orley, the firm invests across proptech, construction, hospitality, and retail.
Beyond capital, Zigg leans on Eisenberg's operating background — as a founder at Floored (acquired by CBRE) and early employee at Bonobos and TellApart, plus his CBRE tenure — to offer hands-on, non-conflicted support; the firm has avoided taking money from real estate industry players to reduce bias in its investing.
Zigg has backed over 25 companies, including Matterport, Loft, Snapdocs, OpenSpace, Juniper Square, Procore, Kasa, and Tend, alongside VTS, Cherre, Culdesac, Metropolis, Crusoe Energy, and Base Power Company. Seventeen portfolio companies have gone on to raise from generalist VCs including Andreessen Horowitz, Firstmark, Ribbit, Sequoia, and Tiger Global.
Zigg raised a $100 million debut fund, followed by a $225 million second fund backed by institutional investors, foundations, and sovereign wealth funds, including the University of Chicago. The firm invests mainly at early stages but can participate in growth-stage rounds; its approach favors technology-driven, capital-efficient real estate solutions paired with deep sector expertise.
