Zachary Sims is an angel investor and founder with a strong focus on technology and developer-centric ventures. He has made over a dozen investments, including Eigen, Kernel, Cassidy, and Better Stack, spanning AI, infrastructure, SaaS, and developer tools.
He participated in Eigen’s seed round, which raised $15 million, Kernel’s seed round, which raised $6.6 million, Cassidy’s seed round, raising $3.7 million, and Better Stack’s Series A round, which raised $18.6 million. His portfolio also includes Commsor, Circle, Practice, Loop, SproutFi, and Anzen, reflecting broad engagement across early-stage and growth-stage companies.
Zachary co-founded Codecademy, serving as CEO for over eleven years before its acquisition by Skillsoft. He later became CEO of Codecademy and GM of Technology and Developer at Skillsoft, overseeing a $150 million business unit with more than 400 team members.
