About Western New York Venture Association / Buffalo Angels
The WNYVA, founded in 1989, is the only not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing a business opportunity and investment forum to the Niagara region. The association holds a series of networking meetings throughout the year to facilitate the exchange of information between investors and entrepreneurs.
The Western New York Venture Association's mission is to elevate the economic growth of the region by proactively increasing the size and sophistication of the angel investors base, and the quality of investments opportunities, throughout Western New York.
Buffalo Angels
The Buffalo Angels, a division of the Western New York Venture Association, is an angel investor network limited to accredited investors.
▪ Attend regular invitation-only meetings to consider pre-screened early-stage investment opportunities.
▪ Contribute their expertise and knowledge during meetings and on due diligence teams.
▪ Should be prepared to invest at least $15,000 per deal in one or more companies per year.
▪ Make his or her own investment decision on each deal.
Buffalo Angels typically consider investment opportunities after they have been presented to the WNYVA. We will, however, review applications directly.
