WaterStar Capital is an Atlanta-based international business advisory firm, founded in 2015, that provides consulting and equity investment to early- to mid-stage technology-based companies, targeting small companies with big technologies. It delivers cross-border capitalization, business and marketing resource integration, IP portfolio protection and access to regional markets, working through a cross-border management team as a strategic partner to its portfolio companies. Investments include LumiThera, KitoTech, Everix, SWIR, Soteria, OpZira and Astrocyte. WaterStar targets technology-based companies in life sciences, medical devices, AI and high-tech manufacturing that hold groundbreaking technology but lack the funding, IP portfolio and global market access to commercialize fully. Its focus spans Europe and North America. The firm led LumiThera's $14 million Series C.
