WPC is a specialist life science investor allocating capital across company stages and technologies. WPC invests in targets nearing critical value inflection points, characterized by incremental clearance of preclinical, clinical, regulatory, IP, or commercial risk hurdles. WPC is flexible, acting as lead investor or syndicate member in larger rounds. To our portfolio companies, their management teams, and other investors on the cap table, we operate like a traditional venture firm – vetting, investing, and operating as a single financial sponsor on the cap table. To other stakeholders, we are a different type of venture firm with a unique offering & approach We invest in companies through rapidly created, bespoke, special purpose vehicles with one SPV per portfolio company. Our approach provides access and optionality to all Accredited Investors within our network. This allows our Investors to deploy capital where they are passionate, rather than subscribing upfront to a pooled Fund of capital with limited discretion over portfolio company allocations. We believe in the power of our network. Our roster of Investors includes company founders & entrepreneurs, scientists, physicians, academics, individual investors, and investment professionals / funds. Our LPs choose to invest in opportunities or verticals where they have specific interest, passion, expertise, or a strong network of relevant stakeholders that we bring to bear in all of our portfolio company interactions. Beyond the sector-specific expertise of our Principals, we broaden our impact by pooling and leveraging the insights & networks of our Investors to serve as a value-added investor to the management teams we support.
