Verdex Capital, formerly known as AVAC Group, is a purpose-driven, evergreen venture capital firm founded in 1997 and headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. Its mission is to advance Canadian agriculture by investing in venture and community development initiatives. Beyond direct investing, Verdex operates Carrot Ventures, an AgTech venture studio commercializing agricultural technology innovations, and acts as a limited partner in select North American venture capital funds. It previously managed Alberta Enterprise Corp's Accelerate Fund I to stimulate entrepreneurship and angel investing across Alberta.
