About ventureLAB

ventureLAB is a non-profit tech hub in Markham, Ontario, founded in 2011, powering hardtech founders to build and scale globally competitive ventures. It operates a 50,000 sq. ft. innovation space with $12 million in prototyping and testing labs. Its Accelerate AI program is a six-month accelerator funded through Scale AI, with 70+ mentors, 25 advisors, discounted AI compute, IP support and demo days. The Hardware Catalyst Initiative incubates hardware and semiconductor startups, and Canada Catalyst offers soft landing and Start-Up Visa pathways. Participation takes no equity. The Investment Readiness Program helps scale-ready companies build long-term capital strategies, and the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Fund provides $10,000 in funding. Companies in its community have raised over $420 million in private investment. Accelerate AI accepts Canadian-based ventures with fewer than 500 employees focused on applied AI and intelligent value chain products, at the validation or efficiency stage with an MVP or initial traction. Applicants pitch a review panel, with rolling reviews.
