Vedanta Capital

Veda is the Sanskrit word for "knowledge" or "wisdom." Also in Sanskrit, Anta means "end," "limit," or "conclusion." Vedanta (pronounced: Vay-DAHN-tah) symbolizes "ultimate knowledge." Vedanta was founded in 2006 by Parag Saxena and former senior private equity team members of Invesco Private Capital. Some of Vedanta's senior partners have been working together for over 30 years, with an experienced team of ten senior professionals. Professionals on the team at Vedanta, and their prior firms' teams, have committed more than $2.5B in capital to over 400 private equity funds and invested over $1.5B in more than 300 individual venture companies directly, at times alongside many of the venture funds in which they also invested. Professionals at Vedanta and predecessor firms have a track record across 17 venture capital funds and 18 private equity funds of funds. Vedanta employs two distinct strategies, a fund of funds strategy and a direct fund strategy. Vedanta's funds of funds provide limited partners with access to leading venture capital and growth equity funds, and Vedanta's direct funds provide limited partners with direct access to venture- and growth-stage companies.
