About UM International Investment Fund

The International Investment Fund (“IIF”) is a student-run, internationally-focused investment fund at the University of Michigan. The fund seeks to create a mutually beneficial educational and value-add experience for students and international entrepreneurs. IIF invests in startups solely in developing countries at various stages of the business lifecycle. While these companies have had more access to international capital in the last decade, there is still a significant financing gap, particularly during the early stages, where support is vital to spur employment and economic growth. IIF is an active, year-round fund that works closely with its portfolio companies and potential investments on pro-bono strategy consulting projects to further drive investment and educational value.
