We Are A Venture Capital Fund Designed to Commercialize the University of Arizona Science, Technology, Services, and Products. The fund provides early-stage capital to companies where the science or service array was pioneered by faculty members, students, and/or colleagues at the University of Arizona, one of the top research universities in the world. Since 2013 we have been making investments in disruptive technologies that are born in research laboratories overlooked by Silicon Valley, and we’ve found there is no shortage of product. Our history begins by successfully collaborating with the University of Arizona, where we have spun out fourteen businesses and successfully exited four. Collaborating with UArizona’s tech transfer office, we developed a model for identifying and investing in world-class scientific discoveries and brilliant technology breakthroughs. Our fund exists to ensure these breakthroughs reach the masses and have the greatest impact possible.
