Actively involved with a number of funds focused on building stronger ecosystems for angel investors and entrepreneurs. What I really enjoy is meeting other like-minded investors and highly talented entrepreneurs. Specifically, my work with the Angel Resource Institute allowed me to travel the US and abroad delivering workshops and talks to enterprising entrepreneurs and the people who fund them. Being exposed to the successes and failures of starting and growing companies with limited human and financial capital in different regions of the world has been eye-opening. As an exited entrepreneur, investor, and experienced executive, meeting and speaking with other investors, entrepreneurs, and business leaders - who take risks to build personal wealth and jobs within their communities - provides me with new ways of looking at things. Networking does wonders. Over the past few years, I have made over 60 investments in companies, joined multiple boards, and have had a number of solid exits. I'm not a passive investor; I like to get involved in helping companies succeed from an operating and board role.
