Tripple uses the power of capital, through investments and grants, to create real-world change. The planet is telling us the old ways of doing business aren’t going to work anymore. We see a new normal for investing for good. Tripple is an example of what a new normal of investing for good can look like. For us, a 100% impact portfolio is the only logical path forward. As old ways of doing business cease to serve us, the exciting investment opportunities of the future are those which solve real-world problems and create genuine value. We invest only in organisations that we believe will lead us to a better future. We see this as the future of investing. As part of being ‘systems aware’ as a funder and as an organisation, we are constantly reflecting on how best to use our philanthropic capital as a tool for systems change and how to be an example of best practice philanthropic giving. Our strategy sees us investing 90% of our philanthropic funding into organisations that are looking at root causes and systems-level change. This may look like: lobbying, advocacy, campaigning, organising, messaging, research and narrative shifts or movement building. Our work in grantmaking and philanthropy also includes a set of experimental giving initiatives to help us fund ambitious progressive change. An experimental model of giving we’ve trialled in recent years is ‘deep dive’ grant rounds, which have been effective in funding underserved challenges.
