Tom Peterson is a Managing Partner and an Angel Investor. As early angel investors starting in 2005, Tom and his partner, Howard Lindzon, have backed successful startups like LifeLock (IPO), GolfNow (Comcast), Rent.com (eBay), BuddyMedia (Salesforce), GoInstant (SalesForce), Life360 (IPO), Assistly (Salesforce), Tweetdeck (Twitter), Kensho, Robinhood, eToro, TicketFly (Pandora), AngelList, Tubemogul (IPO), Kustomer (Meta), Manscaped, Betaworks and more. The firm primarily invests in mobile/cloud saas, financial technologies, business intelligence & analytics, and direct-to-consumer offerings. Institutional investors recognized Peterson and Lindzon as “super angels.” In 2013, they subsequently raised their first micro-VC fund, followed by Fund II (2015), Fund III (2018), Fund IV (2021), and a new emerging manager Fund of Funds (2022). With 150+ investments closed over the past 15 years, Peterson manages the day-to-day business of Social Leverage. He holds a B.A. from the University of Alberta and an MBA from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State. When he is not spending time with portfolio companies, Tom enjoys skiing, golf, hockey, and hanging out with friends and family.
