The Tornante Company
About The Tornante Company
The Tornante Company is a privately held investment firm founded in 2005 by Michael Eisner, former CEO of The Walt Disney Company and Paramount Pictures. Headquartered in Beverly Hills, California, it invests in, acquires, incubates, and operates companies, functioning more like an operating holding company than a traditional fund.
Beyond capital, Tornante takes an active operator role: it runs Tornante Television, an independent studio producing animated and live-action series, and directly owns and operates Portsmouth Football Club, acquired in 2017.
Its focus is squarely on media, entertainment, sports, and consumer products, spanning television production, digital streaming, gaming, and fashion media. Notable holdings include The Topps Company (acquired 2007), streaming-aggregator Struum, Vuguru, and Portsmouth FC, alongside acclaimed shows like BoJack Horseman and Undone.
Tornante's approach is "creative first," pairing capital with hands-on operational involvement rather than passive investment.
