The Broad Foundation’s Investing in the Future of Los Angeles encompasses our active grantmaking to elevate organizations, initiatives, and leaders that boldly address the challenges of our time and expand opportunity for Los Angeles’ historically marginalized communities. Our grantmaking addresses three interconnected and interdependent focus areas: ▪ Skills for the New Economy ▪ Pathways to Good Jobs ▪ Civic Partnerships We elevate organizations, initiatives, and leaders that boldly address the challenges of our time and expand opportunity for Los Angeles’ historically marginalized communities. In addition to supporting the important work of scores of non-profit organizations around the country, the foundation has created groundbreaking independent institutions in each of its three investment areas, including The Broad Center, which develops leaders to help transform America’s urban public schools, The Broad Institute, a global leader in genomics, and The Broad, a museum in downtown Los Angeles devoted to showcasing great contemporary art.
