Terrain is a technology investment firm and creative partner to founders, launched in 2024 by Eric Stromberg and Willem Van Lancker. The firm operates out of Hunt Valley and New York City, working with a small number of companies each year and concentrating time and capital as they grow. Terrain's sector focus spans energy, AI infrastructure, crypto, enterprise software, insurance, consumer, robotics, and fintech. Portfolio companies include Base Power Company, Parallel, Bridge (acquired by Stripe), Coplane, AIUC, Eternal, Fauna Robotics, Clasp, CloudX, and Natural.
