Founded in 2012, Tensile is a ~$2B investment firm headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area with an office in New York. Tensile is 100% owned by its employees, and its limited partners include endowments, foundations, RIAs, family offices and high net worth individuals. Utilizing its extensive research and due diligence process, the firm makes concentrated, high conviction investments in a select number of public and private companies. Our objective is to generate superior, risk-adjusted, after-tax returns through long-term investments, while maintaining a margin of safety against permanent capital impairment.
