Ted Leonsis, Angel Investor

Ted Leonsis is an angel investor who has made over 30 investments, mainly in sports and media, health tech, food, and consumer platforms. His latest portfolio additions include food startup Proxy Foods, wearable oxygen monitor maker OxiWear, streaming technology firm Kiswe, and digital health company HumanFirst. He has taken part in rounds ranging from grants and pre-seed deals to Series C financings. Across these rounds, companies raised totals between $45K and $50M, including a $44M Series B for StockX. Ted also led two deals, including the seed round in which Proxy Foods raised $6M. He founded Monumental Sports & Entertainment, a company based in the Washington, DC-Baltimore area. For more than 16 years, Ted has served there as chairman, managing partner, and CEO.
