Steve Zhao, Angel Investor

Steve Chen is best known as the Co-Founder and former CTO of YouTube, where he helped build one of the most influential platforms in digital media. He has since held leadership and advisory roles at Google, Nom Labs, and AVOS Systems, and currently serves on boards including Sharp and the Asian Pacific Fund. Earlier in his career, Steve worked as a software engineer at PayPal and an engineering manager at eBay, before co-founding YouTube in 2005 and scaling it into a global phenomenon. He later served as Entrepreneur in Residence at Google and has been an active member of the Committee of 100 for nearly two decades. As an angel investor, Chen has made about sixty investments across AI, fintech, and consumer technology. His recent portfolio includes Moonlake AI, E-Pal, Artue, and Apollo ID, reflecting his focus on startups that drive innovation in artificial intelligence, digital communities, and next-generation financial tools.
