Author of “Evil Robots, Killer Computers, and Other Myths: The Truth About AI and the Future of Humanity”.
I started my career as a postdoc in the Yale University Computer Science Dept Artificial Intelligence program. I’ve been a founder or co-founder of three companies in the AI area including Esperant which became one of the leading business intelligence tools of the 1990’s, co-founded Device42 which is one of the fastest-growing software companies in the country, and have been fortunate enough to participate in two IPOs and multiple M&A exits.
I’m also an active angel investor and do some AI consulting work on topics of interest to me.

Exits include Tangoe (107x), Biorez (22x), Codeship, Jamhub, and Hadapt.
