Steve Kuhn, Angel Investor

Steve Kuhn is the Founder and Board Chair of Major League Pickleball, where he has elevated the sport with an inclusive and entertaining professional format. He also created DUPR, the Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating system, now trusted globally by clubs, tours, and recreational players for its accuracy. Earlier in his career, Steve worked as a trader at Piper Jaffray and later as a portfolio manager at Citadel and Goldman Sachs. He joined Pine River Capital Management in 2008, achieving over $14 billion AUM and 400%+ returns, while also serving as CIO of Two Harbors Investment Corp., which grew to a $4 billion market cap under his leadership. He is also an angel investor, supporting ventures in sports and sports technology. His recent investment was in Lucra Sports, a $10 million venture round, reflecting his interest in platforms that enhance fan engagement and expand opportunities in the creator and sports economy.
