Steve Fredette is the Co-Founder and President of Toast, a leading restaurant technology platform that combines software, hardware, and financial services to help restaurants streamline operations and enhance the guest experience. Since founding Toast in 2012, he has played a key role in its growth into a category-defining company serving thousands of restaurants nationwide. Before Toast, Fredette spent nearly seven years at Endeca, where he led development teams and launched the company’s mobile commerce platform prior to its $1.1 billion acquisition by Oracle. Earlier in his career, he co-founded Klick Mobile and other ventures focused on mobile and web innovation. Fredette is also an active angel investor in companies across SaaS, retail tech, and data-driven platforms. His portfolio includes Pallet, Cents, OnRamp, Monaire, and Understory, with rounds ranging from seed to Series B. His investments focus on technology that empowers small businesses and drives operational excellence.
