Soros Economic Development Fund

The Soros Economic Development Fund is the impact investment arm of the Open Society Foundations. We deploy patient, risk-tolerant, and catalytic capital to advance Open Society’s commitment to sustaining vibrant and inclusive democracies across the globe. We make private-sector investments to advance the Foundation’s enduring commitments of equity, expression, and justice. We currently prioritize a range of themes, including climate action, independent media, human rights, and justice. Launched in 1997, the Fund promotes Open Society’s goals of building vibrant, inclusive, and equitable societies.
