About Skip Capital
Skip Capital is a private investment fund founded in 2018 by Kim Jackson (Co-Founder, CEO, and CIO) and Scott Farquhar (Co-Founder), the latter also a co-founder of Atlassian, headquartered in Sydney, Australia. It manages the principals' private capital across venture capital, infrastructure, and real assets.
The firm operates without external fund vehicles, combining a single-family office structure with direct operating-company involvement. It also runs the Skip Foundation and supports philanthropic initiatives including Pledge 1% and the Cycling Development Foundation.
Skip Capital invests across enterprise software, fintech, healthtech, AI, and climate/energy infrastructure, with a portfolio of 36+ companies including Canva, Airwallex, Snyk, 1Password, Culture Amp, Gong, SafetyCulture, and Neara, alongside infrastructure holdings like Queensland Airports (acquired with KKR in 2024) and regional Australian airports in Gold Coast, Townsville, Mount Isa, and Longreach.
Its investment approach spans early-stage venture rounds through growth equity and long-duration infrastructure acquisitions, leveraging Farquhar's founder-led technology background to source founder-centric deals, while treating venture and infrastructure as complementary, coordinated asset classes under unified principal ownership.
