Shayan Zadeh is a technology entrepreneur and investor who has founded, scaled, and revitalized companies across multiple industries. He is the President of Zadeh Group, a holding company with a portfolio that includes Leap Rail, an AI startup optimizing hospital operations, and Verge Network Solutions, a telecom provider serving clients across the central U.S. He is best known for leading the turnaround of iconic retail brands Pier 1 and Dressbarn, guiding both companies out of bankruptcy and driving rapid digital growth. Earlier, Shayan co-founded Zoosk, one of the world’s largest online dating platforms, which grew to over $200 million in annual revenue before its $258 million acquisition in 2019. An active angel investor and advisor, Shayan has backed startups such as Huma, Sherbit, PaperKarma, and Identified. With degrees in computer science and business from the University of Maryland and the University of Washington, he continues to combine innovation and leadership across technology, healthcare, and consumer sectors.
