Serafund is a Vancouver-based proprietary investment firm founded in 2021. It operates as a venture capital investor in private markets and also invests in public markets. It manages private wealth and is anchored by Bob Xu, co-founder of New Oriental Education and a three-time Forbes Midas List member. In private markets, Serafund focuses on frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, space, digital assets, and biosciences, with a strong history in blockchain and Web3, including Layer 1s, DeFi, and gaming. It supports portfolio companies with talent acquisition, expert insights, and introductions to other top-tier VCs. Notable investments include Berachain, Nillion, BIO Protocol, Camp Network, Thala Labs, Uniblock, and UK health-tech platform Healthera. Its most recently reported deal was a seed investment in Pieverse in October 2025.
