G. Scott Paterson is a Toronto‑based venture capitalist with a long track record in technology, media, and finance. He rose to prominence as CEO of Orion Securities, later co‑founded JumpTV and Symbility Solutions, and has served in leadership roles across Canada’s capital markets. Today, Scott is Founder and Executive Chairman of FutureVault, Co‑Founder of The FUTR Corporation (TSXV:FTRC.V), Chairman of QYOU Media, and a Director of Lionsgate Entertainment Canada. He also serves on multiple boards and continues to focus on scaling companies at the intersection of technology, media, and finance. As an angel investor, Scott has participated in rounds for InvestX Capital, Workwolf, and FUTR Corporation, with his most recent investment being FUTR’s $6.5M post‑IPO equity round in 2025.
