Scott Bechtel, Angel Investor

J. Scott Bechtel is a Broadway co-producer, novelist, scriptwriter, private investor, and CEO at AmiCOUR IP Group, LLC. In June 2023, Scott published Writers' Block, a novel about five wanna-be bookwriters stuck in debate over how the world would react to a pill making people live to be 500 years old. He shares 40 years of experience leading commercial development and investing in early-stage technologies, agri-food startups, and his theater arts portfolio. Scott's participation comprises Bruce (Seattle), a Richard Oberacker and Robert Taylor musical about making the movie Jaws, Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club (London), and Popcorn! Three Men and a Garage (workshop), A Christmas Carol (Broadway, tour), and The Prom (Broadway, tour, film). Scott became a dot-com entrepreneur in 1999. In 2001 he started licensing patents and new technologies. Scott was a leader of the Licensing Executives Society and served in several of the Society's leadership positions, including the CLP ethics and review board.
