We are a venture capital firm that supports creative entrepreneurs with more than just capital. We also invest time and expertise to help our investees get to market sooner and scale up faster. This guidance is delivered by our fund’s founders, who have themselves started, funded and managed multiple companies with $1 billion+ exits. They are further assisted by a Leadership Council comprised of some of Canada’s most successful business people. We were founded in Toronto in 2016 and have raised over $100 million from private investors, plus a commitment of $25 million from the Province of Ontario and $5 million from the Province of British Columbia. The fund helps early-stage technology companies scale up to the global market, helps drive greater success in the Canadian technology sector, and ultimately contributes to making Canada a stronger and more prosperous economy. We invest in people. When we meet interesting people with interesting products, good things happen. We like to spend time getting to know entrepreneurs and living with their technology so we really understand a product from a user’s point of view. And once we see that there is traction for an idea, we are able to apply our financial support, our strong experience and our executive connections to go from local market success to global scale.
