About Samuel Daviau, Angel Investor

Sam is the co-founder of UpBeing, a behavioral health technology company focused on empowering individuals, society, and systems to use their existing application, environmental, and behavioral data to understand emotions. Prior to founding UpBeing, Sam was the VP of Operations at Statflo, a Series A B2B Mar-tech startup based out of Toronto where he developed his skills for six years across a variety of roles including sales, partnerships, HR, and product. Sam is a Board Director and Fellow Alumni of the Venture For Canada program (inaugural, 2015 cohort) as well as a Founder Alumni of Entrepreneur First (TO2 Cohort, Sept 2021). Sam is a also small cheque angel investor and previously sat on the board of the Muskoka Lakes Association, the oldest lake association in Canada. He previously was the Alumni Chair for VFC (2019-2022) and helped found Lay-Up, a leading children’s sports charity in Toronto. Sam is passionate about building resilient communities and technology that changes the world for the better.
