About Ryan Waddington, Angel Investor

Ryan has 20 years of investing experience from pre-seed to private equity, during which he led over $200 million worth of investments in more than 40 technology companies. ​ Ryan is Founder and General Partner of Huron River Ventures, a leading early-stage venture firm that he founded in 2010. HRV invests primarily in Midwest-based enterprise software companies in the energy, mobility, manufacturing, agriculture and health care sectors. He is also currently a Founder, Partner and COO with Halo Growth Ventures, a novel private equity platform. ​ Previously, Ryan led investment teams at Ziff Brothers Investments and DTE Energy, and was a Partner with Arsenal Growth Ventures. Ryan holds engineering degrees from the University of Michigan and the University of Wisconsin, and earned an MBA with Distinction from the Ross School of Business at University of Michigan, where participated in the Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise.
