Russell Kaplan is an angel investor focused on artificial intelligence, machine learning infrastructure, and developer tools. His investments include 1001 AI, an AI applications company, Corridor, an AI software startup, and Sapien, a platform for human-verified data and AI training. His investment activity spans Seed and Series A rounds, including financings where 1001 AI raised a total of $30 million, Sapien raised a total of $8.7 million, and Corridor raised a total of $5.4 million. He has participated in backing both early-stage and growth-stage AI companies. Russell has served as President of Cognition for about two years. Before that, he held the role of Director of Engineering and Machine Learning at Scale AI.
