About Robert Goodof, Angel Investor

Robert Goodof, as an angel investor (Walnut Ventures) and active member of MIT's Venture Mentoring Service (VMS), has focused on using his background and network to invest in and advise startups. As a former instructor in Sustainable Finance, he intends to help clients evaluate and develop business models which 'work,' economically. He has transitioned from thirty years, as a buy side analyst, into a private practice, utilizing his experience and network in energy and chemical industries as a consultant, mentor, expert witness, and instructor. His current project queue includes decarbonization research and advisory, project developments/investments, and private and public valuation. Most recently he has developed a concept for incentivizing (and personalizing) Today's Consumers to change their behaviors for future generations, and have been working with a novel technology targeting nitrification of coastal waters and ponds. His ongoing objective is to maintain and build my investment-related network as an 'equal opportunity critic' (and supporter) across the energy landscape, while seeking and supporting innovative solutions to a range of energy and environmental issues. He is interested in helping public and private companies, entrepreneurs, and individual/institutional investors, to evaluate opportunities utilizing my background, experience, and interests. He currently advises two exciting ventures - Phuc Labs (machine vision water treatment (www.Phuclabs.com) and Mass Materials Technology (https://bymmt.com), nondestructive pipeline safety testing equipment and services) and he is happy to connect interested collaborators and potential customers to the team.
