Rob Hayes, Angel Investor

Rob is a Partner at San Francisco-based VC firm, a role he has held since 2006, where he has led early investments in companies such as Uber, Square/Block, Planet Labs, Mint.com, Eero, and TaskRabbit. He also serves as a Board Member at Barndoor AI, a Trustee at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and a Member of the Board of Overseers at Columbia Business School. Earlier in his career, he was a Director at Omidyar Network. Rob is also an angel investor. His two most recent investments include Etched.ai, an AI infrastructure company backed in a Seed round, and TeamShares, a platform enabling employee ownership of small businesses, also supported in a Seed round. He has additionally invested in Steno, Veho, Alcove, and Ranger. He brings nearly two decades of venture capital experience to his work with founders, combining board leadership and operational insight with a track record of supporting companies that redefine sectors such as fintech, AI, logistics, and consumer technology.
