RevTech Ventures is a Dallas-based venture capital firm investing in early-stage retail technology. As thesis-driven investors, we currently focus on companies building cutting-edge technologies and concepts that will drastically transform the future of retail. We believe in the sharing of relevant experience over the doling out of advice. That’s why our network of mentors and investors is carefully selected for their wealth of experience they bring to the table and their eagerness to work closely with our startups to provide guidance and accelerate growth. DEAL ATTRIBUTES Stage We lead or follow at the Pre-Seed and Seed Stage – usually as one of the first institutional investors. We participate in Series A & B, but typically do not lead. Diversity We believe that diversity drives the most capital-efficient, high-growth outcomes. Over 75% of our recent investments have been in diverse leadership teams, which now represent more than a third of our portfolio—and that number continues to grow. Geography While we are headquartered in Dallas and 1/3 of our portfolio is Texas-based, our investments span across North America for retail technology. All of our investments in retail concepts to date have been in Texas, with a preference towards Dallas. Size Our initial check size averages $100K at pre-seed and seed stage and larger for initial checks at later stages. For those portfolio companies that attract additional capital, we expect to grow our investment at least 10x.
