Peter Bauer, Angel Investor

Peter Bauer is the co‑founder and retired CEO of Mimecast, where he led the SaaS cybersecurity company for 21 years from its founding in London in 2003 through its IPO on Nasdaq in 2015 and subsequent $5.6B acquisition by Permira in 2022. Under his leadership, Mimecast grew to more than 2,000 employees and 40,000 customers worldwide, anchored in a culture of conscious capitalism and long‑term value creation. Today, Peter remains on the Mimecast board as a non‑executive director and is active through his family office, supporting ventures and nonprofit organizations with the potential to make a positive global impact. He also serves on several nonprofit boards, reflecting his commitment to leadership, learning, and social responsibility. As an investor, Peter has backed early‑stage companies across technology and sustainability.
