Mr. Ahlstrom is a Co-Founder and serves as a Managing Director at Alta Ventures Mexico. Mr. Ahlstrom co-founded the firm in 2010. He was employed at vSpring Capital. Previously, Mr. Ahlstrom served as a Managing Director at the vSpring. Prior to founding vSpring Capital, he founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer at Knowlix Corporation. He also invested in Altiris. Mr. Ahlstrom has led several successful early stage investments including Rhomobile, Aeroprise, 7degrees and FamilyLink. He serves as a Director of BMC Mobility for IT Service Management, New Mexico Community Capital, KQ Corporation, Aeroprise, GlobalSim, Cogito, MyFamily.com and DriveSafety. Mr. Ahlstrom also serves as a Member of Advisory Board of UTFC, BYU's e-business center and Corda Technologies. He serves as a Member of the Utah Angels and has participated in several regional angel investments. He serves as a Director and Trustee at the Utah Information Technology Association and an Advisor at the Kevin Rollins Center for E-Business at Brigham Young University. Mr. Ahlstrom serves on the Technical Advisory Board at Westminster College's business school and Dougway Proving Ground's Test and Evaluation Initiative. He served as a Director of Public Engines, Senforce Technologies, Ancestry.com and S5 Wireless. He serves on the Executive Committee of the University of Utah’s Technology Commercialization Advisory Board. Mr. Ahlstrom is listed as a Founding Member of the BYU Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology. He served as a Director of The American Academy.
