Paloma Capital is the venture capital fund arm of Paloma Group (formerly Dovetail), founded in 2014 and headquartered in Sydney, Australia, with additional offices in Auckland, Wellington, and Boulder, Colorado. It invests alongside Paloma's venture studio, backing exceptional founders from day zero. Paloma Capital invests across fintech, SaaS, chemicals, healthcare, and other underserved technology sectors in Australia and New Zealand. Notable portfolio companies include Authsignal, Chemcloud, Runn, Marmalade, Evermed, and Grounded Packaging, with a combined venture portfolio valued at over AUD $250M and a 90% survival rate compared to the broader startup average. Its Fund II is targeting AUD $25M to invest in 14–18 companies across pre-seed, seed, and Series A stages over three years, split between breakout companies from its existing portfolio and new studio-built ventures, with a focus on underserved industries and GenAI-enabled businesses.
