Pack Ventures

Pack Ventures is a Seattle-based, independently run venture capital fund founded in 2022 by Ken Horenstein. It is rooted in the University of Washington ecosystem and is the sole pre-seed and seed fund partnered with the university's CoMotion innovation hub. The firm invests across all sectors but is particularly focused on AI, life sciences, and deep-tech, backing campus teams, alumni, and startups where the UW ecosystem can accelerate their success. It offers hands-on support and access to a global research network alongside capital. Portfolio companies include Supio, a legal AI platform for personal injury firms; TurionSpace, focused on space sustainability and national security; ArchonBio, developing computationally designed biologic drugs; Monod Bio; Rainfall Health; and LifeAt. Co-investors and follow-on backers include NFX, AI2, Madrona, and Khosla Ventures. Pack Ventures has raised two funds, its first around $5 million and its second targeting $30 million, investing in roughly 25 to 30 founders per fund, mostly at the pre-seed and seed stage. Its approach is collaborative and founder-first, staying engaged with companies through every stage of their growth.
