The North Bay Angels (NBA) is the oldest and largest angel investment group north of the Golden Gate.
The NBA is organized to operate as a voluntary and non-profit group for its "Angel Investor" members. We provide a forum for members to meet entrepreneurs seeking help for their companies. The NBA does not provide investment advice, recommendations, or guidance to its investor/members with respect to the company/entrepreneurs.
Once a company has presented its business plan at a meeting, the members who have an interest in exploring investment and mentoring opportunities with that company will do so individually and privately with the company.
The NBA's ideal investment is a start-up company that:
▪ Has a unique and protectable advantage in its market and addresses a critical need.
▪ Is beyond the concept stage and has at least a functioning prototype of its product or business proposition.
▪ Has demonstrated a need for and acceptability of its product, service, or technology in the marketplace.
▪ Has modest total capital needs to execute the business plan successfully, to avoid excessive dilution to Angel investors.
▪ Has at least the beginning of a management team and board should be in place.
