Monica Brand Engel is an Angel Investor, Co-founder, and Managing Partner at Quona Capital, a venture capital firm that invests in innovative fintech companies in emerging markets. Before that, she was the Managing Director for Frontier Investments Group at Accion. She graduated from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and Williams College. Monica is a seasoned fund manager with track record of launching and scaling investment vehicles and business lines targeted at the un and underbanked in the US and emerging markets. She is the co-author of various publications, most recently on women in leadership: Rebalance to Thrive. She is a leader & mentor, with P&L responsibility and operational experience building cross-functional and cross-cultural teams to achieve sales, innovation & other business goals in companies + funds globally. She is a Bilingual MBA and MA Education with experience in serving on boards, teaching & training professionals Her specialties are impact investing, entrepreneurship, product development, project management, and teaching.
