About Merlin Kauffman, Angel Investor

Serial entrepreneur, startup advisor, investor, and intellectual property expert, Merlin Kauffman, has been building high-growth technology companies for more than two decades. Additionally, Kauffman is Chairman of the Board for the multi-national wellness service provider Soothe, Inc., which he founded in 2013. While serving as the company’s CEO for five years, he grew the on-demand massage startup to 64 cities in the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia with over 15,000 massage therapists and raised more than $100M in private equity funding. At 17, Kauffman co-founded his first company, eWireless, LLC, which created one of the first wireless hotspots, based on a Linux kernel with login and password authentication to allow businesses to collect their customers' emails. Kauffman has invested in numerous early-stage technology companies, including Circa, Fitspot, and Digits.
